We want the
best for your child’s birthday party. Fun Time Fire Truck provides you with a
REAL Fire Engine. The children will obviously be very excited when we arrive
and everyone’s safety is our first concern. To make sure everything runs
smoothly we provide you with the following guidelines to make the event fun, and
most importantly safe for all.
LOCATION:
-
We prefer not to operate on busy
streets. Sometimes this can not be avoided so you need to let us know ahead
of time so we can provide the proper signs and cones to control traffic and
protect the party guests.
-
Leave at least 70 feet of clear
parking area where you want the Fire Engine to park. This is a full size,
real Fire Engine. Our driver will not double park the fire engine, so
please provide adequate space. One suggestion is to block off your street or
parking area prior to your guests arriving to prevent moving cars prior to
the fire trucks arrival. The best location is the street directly in front
of your home or location.
-
We prefer NOT to park in
driveways. Our fire engine is very heavy and can easily crack normal
residential driveways due to the weight. If you wish for us to park in your
driveway you will assume all liability and responsibility for any incurred
driveway damage.
-
When the Fire Engine arrives to the
party be sure to have the children out of the street and at least 10 feet
away from where the Fire Engine will be parking. Please do not allow the
children to run up to the fire truck. Our driver will let you know when it
is safe to escort the children and adults to the truck.
-
A fire engine can be alarming to
some of your neighbors especially if they are unaware of a party taking
place. Please let all of your neighbors know that you will be having a fire
department themed birthday party, with a real fire truck, so they will not
be alarmed at flashing lights, bell and sirens.
SUPERVISION:
-
Be sure to have adequate adult supervision for the children.
Fun Time Fire Truck will not be responsible for the supervision of the
children. We recommend at least 1 adult to every 4 children to ensure a
safe loading and unloading of children. Adults will need to assist in
loading and unloading the children from the Fire Engine.
-
Children are not allowed to
climb on the top/hose beds of the truck. They may explore all other areas
and seats, but please keep them off the top hose beds.
FIRE ENGINE:
-
Our fire truck is very loud. This
can sometimes scare small children. If your party guests or the birthday
child are under age 4, we will try to keep the sirens and horns to a
minimum. If you child is sensitive to loud noises, please let us know and we
will keep the sirens and horns off on approaching. Children this age
are sometimes scared by the loud sirens/horns and refuse to get near the
truck. They eventually warm up and enjoy the fire truck, but this can be
prevented by keeping the sirens and horns off until they feel ready for the
loud noise of the truck.
-
All the children will need to have
shoes on.
-
No food or drinks are allowed on the
Fire Engine.
-
During the Birthday child’s ride
seatbelts must be worn by all and the child must be accompanied by an adult
in the front cab. The child riders will be in the front cab only.
-
Fun Time Fire Truck shall
always have the right to remove any person from the fire engine for any
reason, which in the opinion of our driver deems necessary or appropriate.
-
During the Games/Activities the
children may get wet. You may wish to do photos with the children and truck
prior to starting the activities that will get them wet.
-
A set of real fire gear will be
provided for the birthday child to take pictures in. The child can ride with
the gear on in the fire truck. Each guest child will be given the
opportunity to take pictures in adult size real fire gear, or child size
plastic gear.
-
A group photo of your party guests
with the fire truck is a great idea! Be sure to do this early in the hour
with your fire truck, as guests, especially the younger ones, attention
spans do not hold out well for pictures toward the end.
